Webinar: Targeted Beta Testing of Non-traditional Partnerships: Supporting Student Academic Success Alaska-Style
May 23 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm UTC-6$45
To be fully integrated into the University Community, academic libraries must create partnerships and collaborative opportunities with campus organizations focused on student academic success. Because the Millennial and Generation Z students often don’t think of the library first when starting their research, libraries should reach them wherever they are on campus. These partnerships can help reach students in unconventional ways. This is especially important at universities and colleges that are primarily non-residential with numerous spaces around campus where students do academic work. We plan to demonstrate alternative approaches to the single learning commons model. In this presentation we will guide participants on the journey of bringing partners into the library, providing outreach to the broader campus community, and innovative use of virtual spaces
